Tata Nano is set to release in 2011

Tata Motors just debuted an electrified version of their Nano today at the 80th Geneva Motor Show, promising no compromises in the way it drives compared to the regular 600cc Nano. The Tata Nano Electric Vehicle (EV) will be built on the existing Nano platform, and still seats four adults.

Key Features Promised

  • Super polymer lithium ion batteries
  • Range of 160 kilometers (99 miles)
  • Acceleration of 0-60 kmph in under 10 seconds

Tata plans to put the Nano EV into production and sell it alongside their already-launched Indica Vista EV, which goes on sale in Europe later this year. The price is not yet known.
