When deciding on the size of the sofa, you need to take into consideration a variety of aspects. For example, look at the whole room and figure out how much space are you willing to let the sofa occupy and whether or not there are other pieces of furniture that you need to include there. Perhaps you’d also like to have a couch in the room or a coffee table.
Draping a piece of texture on the sofa can add a little colour and pattern to space. In plain settings, a patterned blanket or a piece of fabric can be matched with the sofa to give it a refined look. Covering the sofa will also help to avoid dust and dirty hand patches.
A sofa can also stand out even if it has a very simple color. To make sure that happens, you have to place against a contrasting background. In this case, for example, these two grey sofas sit on a white area rug so they stand out without featuring a bold color.
The sofa is pretty much the piece of furniture around which everything else revolves. It’s most often the focal point of the living room and the first piece you buy when decorating this space. So how do you choose the perfect sofa for your home? Do you base your decision on the way it looks, comfort or practicality?
