If you have great views from the windows in your living room, then turning these into the focus of the room is a brilliant solution. Again, this is a great idea for rooms specified for relaxing, and not sitting in front of a TV. This is a good option if your living room is in an open plan extension, and you have built vast windows to flood the space with light. How to do it? Dressing your windows with gorgeous curtains or smart shutters is a good place to start.
Moving on to choosing living room furniture. This is probably going to be the most pricey aspect of your living room revamp, so really think about what you do and don’t need (which may mean giving up on using your coffee table as anything other than a foot rest and replacing it with an ottoman that can be used as extra seating instead).
The texture of your cushion is up to you but don’t be afraid to get creative and see what you can come up with. If you want, you can match your cushions to your curtains or throws but we do recommend having one bold burst of colour rather than having too much in the one room.
One of the best ways that you can add some colour to your living room is by investing in some colourful art. Having art in your living room not only add some colour but it gives your guests something to look at when they visit your home.
