Black Friday is the day for all shopaholics. Unfortunately, there are no black friday sales in India. While the world celebrates buying things at the cost of peanuts Indian are paying full price for the same items.
Last year Google came out with a online shopping festival for India(GOSF 2012) where all the top online retailers in India gave away big discounts. It’s a kind of Black Friday sale for the Indians.
This year too Google has come up a GOSF 13 where top online retailers are providing goods at throwaway prices.
Online retailer’s like Flipkart and Jabong are giving away 30% and 36% discount on clothing respectively. Tata housing is also giving away some discounts to home buyers.
You can get more details about the GOSF here.
CouponDunia, an online website that provides coupon codes, promotional codes and coupons for dining, travel, fashion, electronics and a lot more, helps you save a lot of money and make sure you get your favorite item at the best available price.
To celebate the online shopping festival in India CouponDunia has come out with a page dedicated for the GOSF. Here CouponDunia not only enriches its readers with the knowledge of the best GOSF deals but also lets them decide the best product with it’s product guide.
I am personally doing all my shopping from the CouponDunia GOSF page and I would recommend all our readers to do the same.
P.S. GOSF is only for 3 days and only 22 hours remain in the 3 days.
Following in the footsteps of RIM”s BlackBerry Playbook tablet, which reached 12,000 new hands in just 4 days approaching 2012, Motorola”s Xoom tab too intends to join the party with a hefty price cut of their own.
RIM officially announced on December 28 that they are offering the Playbook at a 50% discount, with the offer valid only for a limited period. Today, they revealed some staggering sales figures have spurred them to increase the “offer” by another week. Serves right for a tablet who garnered criticism from all ends after it was initially regarded an iPad-competitor but failed miserably, mainly on the software front. Now, after making quite a few bucks and almost selling out its entire stock, RIM”s hungry for more and knows a price-cut is the only way to sell some BB tabs. And in light of this successful strategy, Motorola”s Xoom is now being retailed at a 44% discount, albeit only by a single online retailer and not officially by Motorola itself.
The 32GB Wi-Fi only model is now available for as low as Rs. 21,500 (44% discount) and the 32GB Wi-Fi 3G model is selling for Rs. 25,000 (29% discount).
There”s no official word yet from Motorola and we don”t really know when the new price will be standardized by the retailers across the country. But what we do know is that the strategy is working. At least on a short-term basis.
You can buy the WiFi only 32GB Xoom for nearly Rs. 10,000 less than the usual price from

Reports are coming in that Apple is selling those bumpers for the iPhone 4 in China – something still not seen in the USA.
It all started with the Antennagate, with people reporting unusual things happening while they were in a call when they touched the left hand corner of the iPhone 4, which is where the antenna is placed as per the new design. Then, to combat the millions of complaints received by Apple, on 16th July,2010 Steve Jobs declared in a press conference the giving away of free bumpers to every iPhone 4 user (including new buyers) till 30th September, 2010. This announcement of giving away free bumpers meant the end of ‘sale’ of bumpers for money and hence they were pulled out of the Apple Store (They are yet to make their way back….).
(More in detail here)
That was the story in the U.S, and a few other countries. But not China.
According to a photo taken at the iPhone 4 launch event at Apple’s official Beijing retail location, the Cupertino Giant is in full flow, making some money by ‘selling’ black bumper cases for the iPhone 4. (The case is currently offered free to iPhone 4 buyers until September 30th and it makes sense that Apple would begin re-selling them for profit after that date. But so quickly, we never knew.)
At present, this was noticed only in China. ‘Sale’ of those bumpers (available in more colors?) in other countries, including the United States will only be known come September 30th, when Apple’s free bumper program expires.
