IPL 2012 : Mumbai Indians beat Chennai Super Kings at home

Mumbai Indians vs Chennai Super Kings was an exciting match and you could just not move your eyes away from your TV sets.

The wicket was  a batting paradise and Chennai Super Kings posted a huge total 0f 173 runs but Sachin Tendulkar and Rohit Sharma batted extremely well to make Mumbai Indians reach a point where they could easily win the match.

But cricket is a funny game and soon both got out and the falling of wickets just continued for Mumbai Indians.

Mumbai Indians were 7 down with 16 to get from the last over and Malinga got out making Mumbai need 15 runs from 4 balls.

RP Singh did the right thing by giving Smith the strike and with 14 needed of the last 3 balls Smith scored 6,4,4 to take Mumbai Indians home.

Exciting match. Thats why the IPL is a sensation, isn’t it?

Top 3 Weather Apps for Android

Android Market is becoming more and more popular nowadays, and after games the most popular apps are perhaps the weather apps, since they’re both useful and amusing.

There are many, many weather apps designed for Android, and sometimes it’s really hard to choose only one. I’ve tried a number of such apps on my good old Samsung Galaxy Ace in 2011, and here are the best three I’ve found, and they’re all FREE. I hope this list of mine will be helpful for you, too.

1. GO Weather

Go Weather is my most favorite weather app for Android, because it’s different from all the others. Designed as live wallpaper and very good-looking desktop widgets, this app offers some basic weather info (current weather and some forecast), but nothing more (no Doppler radar, no weather cams, no weather alerts… but I can’t say it’s a serious shortcoming – not everyone needs all these features after all). The app also offers cached data for offline viewing and 3D HD weather videos, which is also very useful.

2. MyWeather Mobile

MyWeather Mobile is another good free weather app that provides more customized info than many others. If you have an account on MyWeather.com, you can synchronize your app with it to receive timely weather info. Unlike the first app from my list, Doppler radar is present here together with futurecast maps. The app will also let you save unlimited locations worldwide, which can be very useful for many of us.

3. Weatherbug

Weatherbug is the next free weather app for Android OS I’d like to include in my list, since it has many useful features other similar apps don’t have (I think this is the most complete weather apps including all the necessary features), and it’s very popular thanks to them. Doppler radar, weather cams, video forecasts, weather alerts – Weatherbug has it all, plus it will give you the opportunity to share your weather info and the rest of the info from the app with your friends via social networking sites.

These were the best of 2011, according to me. Lets see what 2012 has in store for us…

Viral Monday: Xperia arc S takes on a dog; Fashion industry exposed (videos)

It’s the first Monday of 2012 and life gets back to normal, even as the celebratory mood sinks in. So, to give you a fresh and light start to the first weekday/working day of 2012, we’ve got here a couple of videos that are as amusing as you’ll find.

First up is one from Sony Ericsson where they boast that the Xperia arc S (notice the small ‘a’ in ‘arc’) is faster than a… dog. Or so is the arc S’ competitor in the video. The video demonstrates how “the fastest Xperia yet” manages to get the latest news in an instant, showing off its fast web browsing capability thanks to its 1.4GHz processor. The dog, the arc S’ competitor, however, isn’t too keen to compete, deeming the attempt a big FAIL from SE.

The second video we have here today is more amusing than the one you see above. Many of you might have already seen it but it still is worth another watch, and let me add, a good way to start a Monday. Ooof that paunch!

Samsung Galaxy S III / Galaxy S 3D coming this February?

Samsung Galaxy S III concept | image via Concept-Photos

Back in February of this year, Samsung Electronics had unveiled what turned out to be the most successful Android device out there in the form of the Galaxy S II. They unveiled the popular smartphone at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) – an event held in Barcelona, Spain every year that acts as a launching pad for many new gadgets. Now, with the unprecedented success of the Galaxy S II, people all over are looking forward to the Galaxy S III, which a report claims will arrive in the same glorious way its predecessor did.

The report claims the successor to the S II will feature a new quad-core processing technology, and possibly even some three-dimensional magic (3D), as the Korean electronics giant looks to differentiate its smartphones from Apple’s popular iPhone.

The report also claims 3D photo and video recording capabilities may be coming to additional Samsung smartphones next year, specifically mentioning a device referred to as the Galaxy S 3D — helping users deliver content to their 3D TVs easily.

If the report is to be believed and Samsung have really lined by the S III and/or S 3D for MWC 2012, then the device(s) is(are) most likely to be made available to the public somewhere around May/June of 2012.

As always, we’ll keep you informed as and when we find something.

iPad 3 in April 2012?Maybe yes!

According to the various rumors on the internet we will see a brand new iPad in Arpil 2012.I know some of you might think that it is too early for a new iPad but with Apple you are always on a ride of surprises so you never know.

Though nothing is confirmed as of yet the probability of a new iPad is quite high.Suppliers have started to deliver parts to Apple so it would not be long before Apple comes out with a finished product.

The iPad 3 would have a A6 processor most probably but other specs are yet unknown.Though some rumors suggest that the iPad 3 might be a little thicker,we do not agree with that rumor because Apple has always tried to make things thinner and lighter.

Tech experts also said that the iPod Touch did not feature a A5 chip because of chip shortage.Maybe once the iPad starts using the A6 chip(iPad 3) the iPod Touch might also be updated with the A5 chip.

So i would suggest that if you are planning to buy an iPad or an iPod Touch you could wait for a few months unless you need it urgently.

We will keep you updated on this.Keep visiting Firstain.
