All you gamers, if you have outgrown your love for Sony's PlayStation 3 (PS3) and were expecting to hit it on with its successor any time soon, here's a bummer: Kaz Hirai, president and group CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment said this to reporters in a roundtable at CES (responding to a question about recent comments attributed to gaming division head Andrew House): "Andy is absolutely right in that we are not making any announcements at E3." So then when can we see the next PlayStation from Sony? Hirai said he's "always said a 10-year life cycle for PS3, and there is no reason to go away from that." Ploop! As it stands, the PS3's current end-of-life is around 2016. But hey, don't you worry, if history (regarding the PS2 and PS3) is anything to go by, Sony's PS4 announcement could be earlier than 2016. For now, just wait...
