When Google stepped into the social networking plateau, we all knew it had something big planned up with it. Today, the conspiracy fell true as the Mountain View-based search engine giant added another feather to thinking cap - Your World search results.
Your World is an enhancement to Google's search results, which, instead of the usual 'general' results, will now show you prioritized content generated by you and those in your circles. With this, the company hopes to have made it much easier for you to find relevant photos, blog posts and contacts from the Google search bar, which includes content both public and private. For security purposes, all searches will be performed by default over SSL. Additionally, if you don't like Google's new 'upgradation' of its search services, you can opt out of Your World at any time. For those looking for the best of both worlds, a toggle at the top-right of the page allows users to choose on-the-fly whether to include personalized results. To sum up, it is a decent addition to our search results, which will help us track our friends' virtual footprints more effectively.
