Technology is seeing massive advancements. Competition is getting tougher. Apple seem to have understood the consumer desires better than others, and are getting the better of this competition. So where does this lead competitors like Dell?
Well, seeing it's products losing battle when matched up against Apple's, Dell have themselves started comparing it for you.... alas showing their own view.
In its latest campaign 'Apples to Apples', Dell does a side-by-side comparison of its products matched up against that of Apple's, highlighting the specs, including the price. It shows the world how it's products are as good as Apples, yet far more cheaper than them. What isn't mentioned though is the processor speed. While Dell ships a 1.73GHz chip (2.93GHz Turbo Mode) inside its machine, Apple offers a 2.66GHz chip.
Another interesting thing is that Dell pits its lowest end machine up against Apple's top-priced variant in its campaign. (Probably Microsoft's recently-introduced Windows Live Essentials software has something to do with it.)
Summary
So Dell offers almost the same features as Apple does, but at a far lower price than Apple charges. But then their processor speed is inferior to that of the Cupertino Giant's. I think the fact that they haven't themselves revealed this information will be an important factor too for those you think before they buy.
So taking the above into account, would you go for the cheaper Dell? Or you'd prefer quality over price with Apple? Let us know in the comments.
