Heck! I don't even own an iPhone 4, yet i'm already sick and tired of this news.
One fine day, a so called "death grip" (antenna issue) hit the iPhone 4, and since then there was a lot of talk on this matter. This particular problem was noticed by most of Apple's iPhone 4 users, if not all. From the cause of the problem, to solutions to it like holding it differently, to buying Apple's $30 bumpers, to signing petitions to force Apple to give away free bumpers as a redemption, to a software update - we've had it all. And for those of you hooked on to your iPhone 4s, waiting for a software update to solve this problem, beware! Your wait would be endless!
Gizmodo, a company not in Apple's good books, contacted AppleCare regarding this issue, and guess what? The AppleCare confirmed our worst nightmares: a software update will not solve the antenna issue faced by iPhone 4 users! Their solution? Get a case, or “Hold Different”.
Apple's iPhone 4 had this un-Apple-like problem: when users touched the left bottom side of the Apple iPhone 4, the signal strength reduced drastically. And now, it is confirmed that this problem will not be solved with a software update (as we had predicted). So what now for iPhone 4 users?
Fear not. Here are a few ways that'll still keep you in love with that iPhone 4 . . . at least till the next iPhone (iPhone 4GS/5) is outed by Apple:
