After last year's runner-ups France and this year's favorites Spain, it was time for the Germans to get humiliated as some shocking results continue to greet us from South Africa.

France were gunned down 2-0 by Mexico while Spain, despite literally walking over Switzerland, ended up ruing their dozens of missed chances in a 1-0 loss. And today, 10 men Germany, who won their opening game convincingly against the Aussies 4-0, fell prey to the Swiss who took their chance and played reasonably well.

Germany's top marksman, and last world cup's golden boot winner, Miroslav Klose gave the Germans a big blow with his sending off early in the game.

And as if that sending off wasn't enough, Serbia rubbed salt in to Germany's wounds by taking the lead just minutes after the red card, through Milan Jovanovic.

Germany then got a great opportunity to draw themselves level from the penalty spot after Nemanja Vidic's deliberate handball inside the area, but rising star Lukas Podolski failed to make the most of it as the Swiss Goalkeeper made an excellent save diving low to his left.
