Here's a shocker. Microsoft and Facebook have teamed up to announce Docs.com – a social word-processing platform which allows you to share your Office Documents on Facebook with other people. The idea behind the whole thing is to let people share their Office documents on Facebook. That's it. This means, editing and creating documents is now as easy as one two three or rather D O C.
Now you can discover, create, and share Microsoft Office documents with your Facebook friends. Built using Microsoft Office 2010 – Docs for Facebook provides the best possible document service for the Facebook environment. Seamless integration with Facebook means that the service is all about sharing your documents. Finally docs can be friendly too!
For now Docs.com is still in its beta stage and hence, like every other beta software or app, it lacks a finishing touch, but the good news is that Microsoft and Facebook are currently working on it and aim to sort it sooner rather than later.
The project is a part of the new Microsoft Fuse Labs. With Docs.com you can create Word documents, Excel spreadsheets and PowerPoint presentations.
