Right, so when you shut down your computer it takes ages to switch off? Tired, irritated and frustrated of it? Don't worry, we'll help you with a smart solution!

Below is a simple step to increase or decrease the time your computer takes to shut down. With this step, you can set your 'own' time within which you want your computer to shut down. And it has no side effects. Just follow the steps correctly and make sure to be very careful while working with the registry. Remember every original value you change or take a backup - whichever suits you best.

Now, if u want to shutdown your PC faster or slower:

1- start-->run-->regedit

2- +HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE

+SYSTEM

+CurrentControlSet

Control

left kick on control and u will find WaitToKillServiceTimeout.

Double kick on WaitToKillServiceTimeout.

In WaitToKillServiceTimeout, value is 20000 - it means 20 seconds...if u want to shudown windows faster then get the numbers smaller, like 10000 or 5000 (10 sec or 5 sec) or if u want to shutdown longer write 50000 (50sec)
