When I first log-on to my W7 laptop, I often (but not always) get a balloon telling me that Windows could not reconnect all network drives, yet when I go into explorer the drives are there with the blue bar already showing how full they are, but with a red cross. Opening them up in turn removes the red cross and all is working fine. Just rather annoying, really. If I were to open Outlook first, I'd get told that the path for my pst file is invalid, being as it is on one of the drives, and then it would open a 'File Open' window for the drive with it reconnected. For the record, I'm on a Dell Latitude E6500 with W7, connecting to a 2K3 server domain, and connecting on a gigabit card to a gigabit switch. When I previously connected to a small 10/100 switch under my desk, which in turn connected to the gigabit switch, I didn't have problems with connections (although I never tried deleting items on the awkward share, because I rarely have need to). It's almost as if being on faster connection is causing me the issue with the reconnect problem. For the shares, is it worth noting that the share that works perfectly is the PDC, and the awkward share is on the secondary?
