Steve Jobs' special advisor at Apple Inc - Tony Fadell is finally leaving Apple. For good.
Fadell had a major hand in the development of the iPod and iPhone - the two products which have taken the industry by storm - and after nine years, his era is finally coming to an end.
Before joining Apple, Fadell briefly worked with Real Networks . He was working on a hard drive-based music player, and, after seeing his idea rejected by them, he turned to Apple six weeks later in 2001 who gleefully accepted him.
In his time with Apple, Fadell was promoted to the position of senior vice president - a position which he left in 2008, although he continued with Apple as a special advisor to the man himself - Steve Jobs.
Though Mr. Jobs gets the lion’s share of credit for innovation at Apple, Tony Fadell played a key role in the company’s resurgence.

- Then in 2008 came his resignation from the post. He continued as Special Advisor to Steve Jobs.
- 2010, he quits Apple for good.
Future Plans?
"My primary focus will be helping the environment by working with consumer green-tech companies," Fadell told The New York Times in an interview. "I'm determined to tell my kids and grandkids amazing stories beyond my iPod and iPhone ones."
