Wayne Rooney continued his brilliant form and scored twice as Manchester United beat Fulham to move two points clear at the top of the Premier League. Berbatov headed in a 3rd late on, which he thoroughly deserved, to round off United's 3-0 win at Old Trafford. Manchester United's next 2 home games will see them take on Liverpool and Chelsea, the outcome of which will decide the title race.

Rooney continued his brilliant form and ended the day with 32 goals for the season

Manchester City have new boy Adam Johnson to thank for as his last gasp equalizer saves City's blushes and keeps their aim of a top 4 finish well alive.

Meanwhile in Italy, AC Milan won their match against Chievo dramatically thanks to an injury time winner from Seedorf but the highlight of the match was Beckham's injury which could rule him out of the coming Fifa World Cup in South Africa.

Messi and  Higuain scored a hattrick each for Barcelona and Real Madrid respectively as the La Liga title race hots up.
