Sub-continental hopefuls India and Pakistan crashed to heavy defeats while Australia bulldozed their way to an emphatic win on day five of the hockey World Cup.

Spain comprehensively beat India 5-2

Australia too good for Africans

Like Doerner scored the tournament's second hat-trick as Australia notched up a record 12-0 scoreline.

England whitewash Pakistan

England came out on top to beat Pakistan despite a brief fightback from the Asian side.

Spain break India's heart

World No. 3 Spain kept their hopes of a semi-final spot alive with a 5-2 rout of India in a World Cup Group B match.
