Drift the iPad way!

Ready to race?

If you’re into car-games, then rest assured you’re going to need add-ons like the iDrift. Here, designer Michael Greenberg imagines up an add-on controller suitable for racing games, dubbed the iDrift.

It has no mechanical or electronic parts whatsoever, making it cheap to manufacture and durable.

When you see it for the first-time (without the iPad) you may feel its nothing more than a steel ring; but hang-on. The 4 cuts in it actually accommodate the iPad.

Mr. Greenberg is so proud of his creation that he has actually signed on the iDrift!

I'm pretty sure the problem with the illustration above is that you need your hands to be able to use the games controls if the keynote presentation from EA is any clue. If your fists are clenched around a wheel I doubt it will be possible to hold down an acceleration button or change gears etc.
