Arsenal just had no answer to Manchester United as the Red Devils swept past the Londoners with immense ease.
The game started off very brightly as both teams got good early chances with Arshavin squandering the best of the lot. But as soon as the first goal went in, the game was played by only one team - Manchester United and Arsene Wenger's young guns could only admire their rivals. United kept on attacking and were rewarded with a second goal inside the first half - a typical counter attack with Rooney ending the move in style.
This win takes United to within a point of leaders Chelsea, who's game in hand will be played against Hull City on tuesday.
