China's Eco-friendly tale

China has surprised everyone with a huge building powered by the sun. The world's most populated country is also known for the fact that almost everything they produce is distributed throughout the world. The image below shows the real power of China's progress, producing the largest business center in the world with solar energy - the 'Sun Dial'.
It's roof, consisting of solar panels, has an area of 75,000 square meters and below it are huge spaces for exhibitions, research laboratories, conference and training rooms, offices and even a hotel.
Also, to save as much energy as possible, the walls were isolated using cutting-edge technologies. The official inauguration of the building, located in Dezhou city, happened during the 4th World Solar City Congress in the autumn.
It is really a great achievement for China but it may soon be forgotten come February 2010 as the Arabs will be ready with their own feat, an entire solar city - the Masdar City, although it remains to be seen do they really have it in them after the recent economic crisis which was felt even in the luxurious & beautiful Abu Dhabi.
