A traditional and popular living room furniture layout idea is the face-to-face stance. Two sofas (or a sofa and a pair of chairs) sit directly across from one another, with the focal point at one end. Positioning the seating this way facilitates conversation because no one has a direct view of the focal point. It's useful when activities such as reading, working on a laptop, or listening to music are just as important as watching television.
Don’t neglect the traffic in the area. People need to be able to move around freely. If you’ve created a conversation area, they should be able to move around it and not through it. Different configurations allow for different solutions to this issue. Depending on the shape of your living room, you need to establish where the center point should be. This isn’t necessarily the center of the room. It’s usually where the coffee table is and you can easily change it according to your desires.
Living room is the place in every house that is noticed every time and by everyone. It is the area where visitors are welcomed and so, needs to be the best. The decoration and arrangement of furniture are important in this sphere and enhance the looks of the living room.
Experiment with different configurations. Sit down and analyze the situation. See whether or not everyone would feel comfortable in that particular configuration and, if not, make some changes. Usually the furniture is organized either around the TV or the fireplace so decide if you want one of these elements to be the focal point.
